SHORT SCOOP:
Degreed and 2+ yrs Java Swing programming exp with J2EE and front-end UI technologies (JSP, Struts, AJAX, and Flash); must have strong Swing and SQL, web browser, and product/software development. Any Agile is a big plus.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
* 2+ yrs Java programming including J2EE back-end server components and front-end UI technologies such as JSP, AWT, and Swing
* Knowledge of databases including some critical subset of Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
* Knowledge of XML, SOAP, and Web Services
* Understanding of SOA
* Exp developing applications for distribution and use on Windows, UNIX
* Knowledge of C, Apache, Eclipse, JBoss, MySQL, JBuilder, and full SDLC exp
* Emphasis on Object-Oriented programming, experience in GUI interface design/programming
* Relates technical info in an easily understood manner with good verbal/written communication skills
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills, able to deal with difficult customers and situations
* Identifies and documents problems, clearly communicates their resolution
* Seeks to develop or implement new approaches
* Acquires up-to-date knowledge in profession or industry
* Any Agile exp is a plus
* Open to travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in CS or related field; master's degree preferred
* Technical certifications (i.e. Microsoft products, DePaul University Computer Career Program, college certificates).
