The Sr. Java Developer will work as part of the Integration Team to apply excellent technical skills, within an existing framework of configuration management, tools, processes, strategies, and standards, to provide build and deployment services across all life cycle environments, including development, test, and production.
The Sr. Java Developer will possess the ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined SCM policies and practices to identify and implement methods, techniques, and tools that will provide a robust build and deployment infrastructure for J2EE applications. The successful candidate will be able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve application deployment and runtime issues involving J2EE technologies such as EJBs, Web Services, JMS, JNDI, and JDBC. Lastly, they will provide assistance in reviewing and designing post-production strategy support.
Required Skills for Sr. Java Developer skills:
5 or more years experience with:
+J2EE technologies including EJBs, Web Services, JMS, JNDI, and JDBC
+Developing, building, packaging, and deploying complex J2EE applications in a WebSphere environment
3 or more years experience with:
+Scripting languages (e.g. ANT, PERL, Python, Bash)
+Unix, Linux, and Windows Server
+Websphere Server domain configurations and application deployments.
1 or more years experience with:
+Version Control tools and capabilities (e.g. Clearcase/UCM).
+Version control strategies for source code locking, branching, and merging.
+Continuous integration environments. Use of Cruise Control a plus.
