IS Account Manager -- Boise, ID 809
Role Purpose --
Act as Business Partner for IS to the Syngenta leadership team
• Partner with the appropriate Seeds business unit to deliver and support business information application systems for the a region/function of Syngenta Seeds that supports the business strategies
• Responsible for IS & Crop strategy integration with Crop leadership teams.
• In collaboration with business management to create and commission a portfolio of IS enabled improvement projects
• Develop IS strategies with the business and IS management that result in the IS function implementing IS solutions that enable the Syngenta business to meet strategic and operational goals.
• Provide Leadership to the Syngenta Business and IS functions to develop appropriate processes to support the businesses effectively
• Ensure the Seeds IS function aligns strategy, architecture, and budgets to achieve crop unit strategic objectives.
• Accountable to understand the business “must wins” and ensure continuous alignment of IS strategy, plans and operational support.
Accountabilities --
Provide stakeholder/relationship management of designated business unit/process.
• Provide IS leadership and expertise to the business management organization to ensure effective use of information, technology and IT expenditures.
• Promote the business use of existing applications and identify exploitation opportunities.
• Actively promote and facilitate global business process and information harmonization within and across brands.
• Develop and maintain a project portfolio, ensure use and adherence to the IS operating model, ensure consistent requirements gathering and application development techniques and efficient use of data and utilize new technology and information according to agreed standards in building and improving applications.
• Contribute to the success of the Local, Regional and Global IS leadership teams.
• The account manager will also proactively monitor best practices as needed for continuous improvement and give input and architecture contribute to IS technology??landscape developments.
Knowledge, experience & capabilities --
Understanding of key business processes and data used in the business.
• Comprehensive knowledge of application development concepts and techniques including, but not limited to, program/project management skills.
• Understanding of global IS strategy, operating model, polices, standards and governance processes.
• Management of large complex projects.
• Working with management of the local and regional IS and business organization.
• People management experience.
• History of delivery in an IS environment.
• Ability to strategically influence in a matrix as well as multi-cultural environment.
