Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Semantic Team Lead and working directly with the Semantic Team Senior Kernel Engineer, this position will be responsible for working on the database kernel for the world's most scalable and performant Semantic Database. Focused on the future of advertising, the successful incumbent will work with a team of world-class experts in Ontology Development, Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence to develop a highly scalable software environment capable of meeting our needs in Contextual Advertising
Qualifications & Required Experience
? 5-10 years experience in working with C/C++ in product oriented environments;
? Must possess a Bachelors degree in Computing Science or Computer Engineering;
? Strong background in multi-threading and large scale systems architecture is required;
? Strong knowledge of dynamic languages and language systems;
? Good general knowledge of Assembly Language and ideally will have experience developing Binary Trees in a production product;
? Experience in development and/or optimization of virtual machines is desired;
? Experience in building database systems (object-oriented or otherwise) and extreme scale/performance computing are considered strong assets;
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen effectively;
? Excellent organizational and time management skills;
? Attention to detail a must.
