This Business Analyst position will work directly within an Advertising Support team, supporting the Management Team.
Overview:
The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing, designing and maintaining key operational metrics and reports for the Advertising Team. The objective is to provide Senior Management with actionable Business Intelligence to optimize speed, cost, and quality of support. Our Client's Solutions Team is responsible for building the Software Giant's money engine to serve the advertiser and publisher community. This team is also responsible for building and marketing all ad platforms, along with emerging media types such as in-game and mobile ads. The Advertising team provides global Tier 2 Technical Support for all advertising platforms and products across APS, and is compromised of 60 Software Giant employees located in Redmond, New York, London, and Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Our Client is looking for a highly-motivated individual to drive impact to their Advertising business through innovative reporting and analysis.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and validating Advertising Support operational data to identify trends, problems areas, and opportunities for improving customer experience.
- Developing reports and contributing to reporting solutions for Advertising decision makers.
- Managing recurring reporting deliverables, including ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Assisting in defining the business requirements for Data Warehouse and reporting solutions.
- Providing high-level analysis on data trends and identifying areas for further analysis.
Reporting, Analysis, and Project Development will consist of engaging business customers regarding requirements gathering, report design, testing, deployment, and overseeing ongoing production and analysis.
Success in this area will depend on strong reporting and analysis, Project Management, communication, organizational and time management skills.
Required Skills for this SSRS Business Systems Analyst position include the following:
- Excellent analytical and technical skills
- Demonstrated ability to create complex SQL queries
- Strong skills in the areas of Data Analysis and Report Automation
- ** Demonstrated experience with SQL Server Reporting Services - SSRS (essential) **, SAS Analysis Services, SharePoint and Report design
- Demonstrated experience managing SharePoint portals and using MOSS/Office web components
- Ability to juggle reports
- Demonstrated expertise in Business Analysis, Modeling and Data Management with strong attention to detail
- Experience working with Business Intelligence products (i.e. Microsoft BSM, ProClarify and/or PPS)
- Proven ability to manage projects
- Strong organizational, planning, and coordination skills exhibited
- Experience preparing business-level Data Analysis
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, SQL querying, database structures, OLAP and DTS (i.e. Pivot Tables, Data Analysis Tool Pack)
- 5-7 years of work experience in a related field
