SHORT SCOOP:
Degreed and 7+ yrs business analysis exp with 5+ yrs overall project management exp (3+ yrs as lead, PMP preferred) w/application development exp. Considerable travel (up to 50%) required.
SUMMARY:
The Business Analyst/Project Lead gathers, evaluates, and manages business requirements for the integration of applications and delivery of new or modified software systems. He/she leads the process of defining system requirements and serves as a liaison between the business and technical development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Overall responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating activities pertaining to assigned project(s)
* Conducts preliminary research and analysis to gain base knowledge of business processes involved with proposed projects
* Solicits client requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis
* Uses industry standard analysis techniques to uncover/discover requirements
* Verifies/solidifies client requirements using prototyping
* Conducts requirements analysis/review to further ensure completeness and feasibility
* Documents requirements in a clear, concise, and accurate manner
* Leads or participates in development of QA test plans, test cases, test data, and test schedules
* Tracks and documents results of testing against requirements
* Creates project plans, identifies and schedules deliverables, milestones, and required tasks
* Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progression
* Communicates issues and potential risks to clients and area IT management
* Prepares status reports and obtains client agreement for schedule or plan modifications
* Coordinates and responds to change requests
* Participates in various phases of project life cycle, such as system requirements definition, testing, training, implementation, and support
* Leads interactive activities with business community, such as hosting of user group meetings or conducting post-implementation satisfaction assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree, master's preferred
* 7+ yrs business analysis exp
* 5+ yrs overall project management exp (PMP preferred)
* 3+ yrs exp as project lead w/application development projects
* Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks and multiple projects
* Consistently follows through on both project and nonproject tasks
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Travel (up to 50%) required.
