PRODUCT SUPPORT POSITION
Southwest Suburbs
35-43K (Salary range is FIRM)
TECHNICAL MUSTS:
MUST have a completed Bachelor's Degree is Computer Science.
2-5 yrs. overall experience
Basic Programming knowledge (C++ or Java)
Database Familiarity (any database: SQL, MYSQL, Oracle, DB2, Access)
Prior Client Support Experience
Prior Customer Interaction Experience
Basic SQL knowledge
Person will go through a 6 month training program that will consist of several learning methods to master the company's software products so they can effectively solve customers problems.

MORE ABOUT THE POSITION:
6 Month training program will be completed before you begin speaking to customers. You will need to serve in this position 1.5 - 2 years before advancing within the company.
Mission: To support, consult with, and educate our customers, worldwide, in the successful implementation and use of Company products.
The Level 1 Product Support Groups main contribution to the company is to provide remote (and occasional on-site) support to customers, customer teams, and affiliates. This person is able to analyze and resolve user questions and issues in a timely manner. This requires excellent time management, communication and technical skills. Ideally, the Product Consultant possesses a technical background and is familiar especially with distributed environment technologies and mainframe technologies. However, one must recognize this is an entry level position.
In addition to having a strong emphasis with the delivery of customer support, there is a need for the PC to highly regard the development of the unit and its corresponding team members. Following table outlines the key responsibilities of the level 1 Product Consultant: Each criterion has three levels - Basic, Master and Expert with increasing level of competency.
