The client is based in San Francisco, but the Application Developer will need to be able to travel to Canada from time to time, anytime. Canadian citizens are welcome to apply as well. Telecommute is available for those currently in Canada.

Job description:
Client is a software company at the forefront of service-oriented technology with a new software componentization technique which we have successfully applied to solve challenging business problems. You will apply this cutting edge technology to solve application, integration and business process automation problems. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the design and implementation of software solutions often initiated through mission-critical consulting engagements. The candidate must directly translate business requirements into high quality software solutions using high-level service-oriented tools in a mostly drag and drop environment.
Required Experience:
This position requires the following combination of demonstrated experience, skills and abilities:
• Experience using productivity tools for (eg. PeopleTools, 4GL, etc.) building or customizing enterprise software applications.
• Proficiency with using relational database management systems, SQL and data modeling skills.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a business software application developer working for an application software company and/or as a client services professional.
• Deep understanding of programming techniques and design patterns.
• Experience with all aspects of software development life-cycle.
• Working knowledge of one or more ERP applications is a plus.
• Working knowledge and experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a plus.
• Knowledge in any UI development tool and scripting language (such as Adobe Flex 3.0) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Java programming language and expertise with designing, developing and deploying Java based applications is a plus.
• Experience integrating business objects cross applications is a plus.
• MS/BS or equivalent in Computer Science, EE, or related field is a plus.
General Skills:
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written, oral presentation and customer interaction skills.
• Experience in developing application in short time frame.
• Able to work extended hours under tight deadline to successfully meet objectives.
• Proactive, customer oriented and responsible self-starter.
