Zazengo is an angel funded start-up that taps into the convergence of cause-oriented branding, grass-roots social action, and the proliferation of social networks. We are seeking a Flash developer to help build an online platform for inspiring, managing and tracking impact. The right candidate will combine the following:
• Thorough knowledge of ActionScript and Flex (essential)
• Experience with Flex interface builder and coding animations through ActionScript
• Experience with an object-orientated ActionScript approach and receiving XML data from an external application
• A personal alignment with empowering individuals and organizations to take action.
• Experience in working with virtual or largely virtual teams.
• 5+ years experience as a developer or designer.
• Excellent communication skills.
The opportunity presents many challenges. The Flash Developer will be responsible for:
• Translating an existing Flash movie into an application that will receive/display XML data
• Javascript hook to our existing Flex/ActionScript application to be able to perform custom animation when a user enters data
• Developing and maintaining new Flash applications
• Work closely with our user interface designers
