MERIDIAN Technology Group seeks a Network Administrator RS7151 with 2 years experience in CISCO IOS and device configuration, configuration management, support and documentation of complex voice and data networks. Must have experience with enterprise WAN / LAN and WLAN networks, T1/DS3 circuits, Ethernet and other networking applications. Must also have technical knowledge of network management, Cisco and SMC switches, routers, CiscoWorks, TACACS+ including upgrades and troubleshooting. Intermediate experience with VLAN Switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and various routing protocols including EIGRP and BGP required. Knowledge of SNMP configuration and an understanding and working knowledge of network security best practices and how to implement them also required. Experience with network tools and functions such as Cisco Works, Solarwinds, ACLs and policy routing, (knowledge of Solarwinds installation and network discovery a plus). CCNA required. Progress toward CCNP desired and security and wireless certifications a plus. Exposure to Cisco Netflow traffic analysis and Linux Vi editing knowledge a plus. Experience with VPN Concentrator and Pix firewall; QoS in various implementations; and Cisco PIX and/or ASA configuration also a plus.

You will be responsible for installing, configuring and troubleshooting all aspects of LAN and WAN components such as Cisco routers, Cisco and SMC switches and network applications. Responsible for following change control procedures for all elements of the network environment, monitoring usage, load and performance of the environment, troubleshooting for errors and performing recovery steps remotely or on site. Responsible for recommending network hardware, investigating and resolving network problems, performing modifications and upgrades to the network infrastructure, keeping documentation of network design, problems and their resolution, processes, policies and procedures current and precise. You will follow procedures to upgrade or enhance network component capabilities in response to or preparation for network upgrades and new requirements. Monitor and troubleshoot network problems, including connectivity and Telco circuit issues. Perform other related duties as required. Provide assistance and training to junior network administrators as needed. You will understand and follow established processes and procedures including change management, work tracking and incident management (ITIL-based). Providing on-call and backup support for existing network and functions. Required to carry a company supplied cell phone/pager and work non-core hours as required.

Excellent analytical, problem resolution and communication skills both verbal and written with ability to work with multiple groups. Ability to multitask while proactively managing an active and dynamic workload is critical.
