As an Information Architect you will:
- Work with other IT professionals and business units to define site functionality, organization and navigation solutions.
- Assess how the site will accommodate enhancements and changes long term.
- Participate in research to identify user goals and tasks.
- Manage the UI Architecture tasks and deliverables for small- to medium-size projects.
- Help to develop and write UI Architecture Strategy and UI Design Principle documents and support materials.
- Assist with architecture reviews that assess impact of proposed systems on UI infrastructure.
- Monitor project team compliance with architecture principles and strategies and resolve UI issues elevated from project teams.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisions.
- Thoroughly understand and comply with IT and Information Security policies and procedures.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience in human/computer interaction, library/information science, information design or technical communications.
- Two years of relevant experience in UI design, writing, or development of web applications.
- Intermediate knowledge of UI design practices and concepts, including user research, usability testing, common heuristics and principles, technical writing, business and user work flows, logical information organization and navigation, prototyping, use case scenarios, quality assurance methodology and inspections, and thoroughly scoped functional requirements and documentation deliverables.
- Intermediate knowledge of IT principles, including object-oriented and traditional programming languages, database design, Internet infrastructure, web server and browser infrastructure (including version compatibility, Javascript, DHTML and CSS).
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Windows NT and/or Web.
- Intermediate knowledge of current versions of Dream Weaver, HTML, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite and Project, Visio, Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator.
Experience applying qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques and site-usage data to improve and enhance websites.
- Strong communication, analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Financial experience preferred.
