InfoTech Resources is seeking candidates for a SAP BASIS Resource. This is a direct hire position in Rochester, NY. SAP responsibilities, include:
- Maintaining the SAP Infrastructure, including installation of SAP and data base upgrades.
- Administering the SAP landscape, maintaining an error free operating environment with 100% availability and sub-second average response.
- Assisting SAP developers with development activities, problems and questions.
- Ability to design and modify the SAP Architecture to accommodate changing hardware, software and workload.
-Data Base Administration responsibilities, include:
- Maintaining and improving MS/SQL server database environment, including installation, upgrades, performance, security and change management.
- Additional Responsibilities include:
- Must be capable of leading technical projects and small teams of people,
- Ability to assimilate new technologies and apply technology to maintain and improve SAP and Data Base Architecture/Infrastructure.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree required
- Preferred MS in Computer Science
- Training in the following technologies: UNIX, Windows, SQL Server, DB2, SAP Basis, Programming languages, i.e., ABAP, Java, UNIX scripts; in addition knowledge of Informix a plus
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/SPECIAL SKILLS:
- In depth SAP basis knowledge, including SAPEnterprise, NetWeaver, BW, and ABAP; Minimum of five years experience in SAP Basis and Data Base Admin.
- Excellent communications both verbal and written, well organized, able to multitask, able to work alone or as part of a team, Assertiveness, Vision, Critical thinking, project and/or staff management.
- Develop project management skills
- Ability to assimilate new technologies and apply technology to maintain and improve SAP infrastructure
