Applied Information Technologies is looking for a highly motivated Computer Scientist or Engineer to design, develop, deploy and maintain large-scale enterprise computing services in an open standards-based computing environment. This job will be filled at the appropriate level, depending upon the successful candidate's education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience programming in a Unix development environment using C and Perl. Also required is UNIX systems administration, Kerberos, LDAP, TCPIP and sendmail. Experience with other specific computer technologies will be viewed very positively. Experience in programming in C++, Java and other programming languages, including programming with most Web-related technologies is highly desirable. NOTE: The 7x24x365 availability of campus technology services may require work outside regular work hours to solve operational problems or install new services.
