Tencent America, LLC is a branch of Tencent Holdings, the largest Internet company in China, boasting 300 million active users as a global leader in instant messaging, portal services, and all sort of gaming products. Tencent America was established as a launching pad for our Chinese products to make a breakthrough into the U.S. market, and while we are still a small team, we're expanding rapidly and looking for qualified individuals to grow with us. Primary Responsibilities:
• To accurately assess and determine user issues for Tencent's online gaming products and translate those issues into actionable items
• To write product requirement documents based on the above identified actionable items
• To define high level platform product requirements, plan the product operation system, as well as work to enhance our item model system and monetization strategies
• Manage the developments of individual games, from game design, to dealing with developers, to maintain the games after release
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the online gaming Industry, including experience in managing teams (work experience with outsourcing companies is a plus), SNS product operation, as well as online game or other Internet product operations
• Must have knowledge and experience with SNSes, forum applications, activities planning, and topics marketing
• Sensitive to the online gaming market
• Must demonstrate effective individual, group and public communication skills
• Must have experience in working with teams in all phases of product development, from initial strategy to post product maintenance
• Must be interested in online gaming (casual or otherwise) and the general Web 2.0 sphere
• Must be comfortable in a self motivated, start-up environment
Education/Training:
• BA/BS in an applicable field and from an accredited university
• MBA is a plus
Other:
• Must be available to work in Redwood City, CA, USA
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Mandarin Chinese knowledge is a definite plus
• Will work with an existing product manager but report to the Assistant General Manager
