We currently have an excellent opportunity in our Global Operations Center in Wheeling WV for a PeopleSoft Engineer.
The PeopleSoft Engineer, under the direction of the Applications Manager, is responsible for all technical aspects of Orrick's PeopleSoft environment providing design/customization services, maintenance services and technical support/trouble-shooting for the platform. It is essential that the candidate have the ability to work in a team environment with multiple technical and non-technical groups.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 6 years of hands on experience developing, testing and supporting PeopleSoft 8.8 or higher HCM applications (specifically Human Resources, Benefits Administration, Payroll and Self-services).
• Experience with PeopleSoft Global Payroll and Time and Labor a plus.
• Expert knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture, People Tools 8.4+, PeopleCode, PeopleSoft Integration Tools experience (Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Workflow).
• Expert knowledge of reporting using SQR, Query/Crystal.
• Expert knowledge modifying and creating user interfaces.
• Ability to closely work with functional users to troubleshoot issues by tracing data issues, online tracing and Cobol tracing.
• Knowledge of server administration including application server, webserver, process scheduler and security.
• Ability to apply updates and fixes, tax updates is required.
• Experience with Application Updates and Tools upgrade.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 2003 Server and SQL Server 2000/2005. Working knowledge of other Microsoft products and networking in an Active Directory environment.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead teams.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Technical certifications a plus.
