We are seeking a person with solid experience as an information systems analyst in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities of the position include integrating our MES with production tools and with higher-level systems. Your goal is to manage real-time and historical information regarding operations, process development, and maintenance activities. In addition, you will be designing and implementing web-based or client-server applications to support Manufacturing Operations and Process Engineering. It will be your job to determine how IT can help the factory achieve its business goals.
Keys to success will be your ability to understand the manufacturing process and analyze the information needs in your assigned operating area. The ideal candidate would be a well-rounded IT professional who has a proven record of delivering complete solutions, not just data, to customers at all levels of the organization. This position reports to the Manufacturing Systems Manager in Information Technology.
Job Requirements:
•BS in Engineering or related technical field.
•Experience with and understanding of MES and WIP tracking concepts.
•Proven problem solver in a manufacturing environment with a process engineering background.
•Strong analytical skills and the ability to determine how a proposed information system will integrate with the overall manufacturing process.
•Proven record as a forward-thinking architect of high-availability, low-maintenance information systems.
•Data analysis skills including SPC.
•Exposure to factory automation systems and equipment data acquisition.
•Good teamwork, written and oral communication and customer service skills.
•Experience developing and supporting applications in a 7x24 manufacturing environment.
Technical Requirements:
•MES Programming/Development experience (3+ years)
•Visual Basic programming experience (3+ years), VB.NET preferred.
•Relational database design and data modeling experience.
•Database programming experience (3+ years) in SQL Server (T-SQL) or Oracle (PL/SQL).
•Ability to write and debug complex stored procedures.
•Web application development experience using ASP and HTML (2+ years), ASP.NET preferred.
•Report writing experience using tools such as Crystal Reports.
•Experience in the semiconductor industry with the SECS/GEM protocol would be a plus.
•Also desired is experience with Maintenance Management systems.
