He/She will use their demonstrated technical knowledge and design abilities to help other teams and developers guarantee technical coherence of product with each feature they develop. This is a highly-technical position.

Responsibilities
Superior demonstrated programming and design skills,
Has a demonstrated understanding of distributed applications
Has a history of successful implementation/development in some or all of the following
• FC - target and initiator driver
• Command Line Interface (CLI) and associated libs/APIs
• SCSI protocol
• Windows drivers/OS internals
• AIX drivers/OS internals
Deep demonstrated understanding of the principles of disk storage, tape storage, systems management, and host to target interaction
He/She must also enjoy the unique challenges of modifying and improving existing code as well as "clean slate" implementation.
He/She must be able to incorporate new ideas and solutions in order to achieve better performance while extending the feature set
Skills
Proficiency in C/C++
Self Starter.
Excellent debugging skills in a distributed environment.
In depth demonstrated operating system knowledge of UNIX or UNIX like OS and WINDOWS (2003, XP).
Knowledge of low-level read/write and IOCTL functionality
Strong demonstrated knowledge of multi-threading, RPC, TCP/IP and interprocess communication.
Device driver experience with an emphasis on Windows is an extreme nice to have!
Experience involving implementation using the NDMP protocol is a plus.
Demonstrated development background in storage area, including:
Backup, restore, and cloning of data, FC/ISCSI
Deep understanding in any/all of SAN, DAS, NAS, Silo, and Clustering, Tape Libraries, Storage devices, Disk and Tape
Experience implementing for large scale Enterprise wide distributed systems
Experience implementing to solve for Systems
NDMP dev experience
Block to filesystem translation
Previous experience with EMC NetWorker a plus
Experience and Education:
8+ years Systems management or storage application programming experience
Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
