This company is currently seeking an innovative technology MS SQL professional to design, code, and test advanced OLTP multi-tiered client/server software that is the core component of an international market center.
Use your intimate knowledge of low-level system calls and array of C++/C tricks to produce the fastest code on Wall Street. Write highly optimized, low-latency, critical-path software to power our trading center during market hours, and develop scalable data storage and distribution systems. Implement new protocols and interfaces as the company expands to new markets, and maintain and expand the set of proprietary tools that help us govern our trading operations.
The company needs a highly motivated professional, driven enough to fit into this high profile position which offers a significant opportunity for growth.
Required Skills:
* 4-5 years experience with strong MS SQL programming skills in a Windows environment.
* Must have good debugging, problem solving, and communications skills.
* Experience with multi-threading, Win32, device drivers preferred.
* Extensive T-SQL programming experience
* Translate complex functional processes into tables, schemas, data relationships, jobs, stored procedures, and triggers
* Strong windows System Programming skills (Service Development, TCP/IP socket programming, Multi-threading, Strong debugging skills, Client Server architecture)
* Strong Microsoft SQL 2005 Server knowledge
* Shell scripting, Makefiles, SED & AWK scripting
* Familiarity with XML schemas
* Ability to work on a small team in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and respond quickly to production issues
* Well organized with attention to detail
* BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline preferred
* Familiarity with tools such as GreenLine a plus
* Familiarity with FIX 4.2 and ITCH 3.0 protocols a plus
* Familiarity with Wall Street Equity markets a plus.
Non-Tech Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
