Description:
The Sr. IT Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the client maintains a high level of security by providing security architecture consulting and guidance, vulnerability management activities, leading the development and management of technical security-related standards, procedures, and hardening documents, and will provide security expertise for critical projects across the clients IT environment, which includes networks, systems, data, and applications.
The Sr. IT Security Analyst will also ensure that the clients IT environment is adequately protected from risks and threats by analyzing system hardening practices, configurations, monitoring changes, and recommending security improvements within a multi-platform environment.
The Sr. IT Security Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, and enforcing system and network security design principles, in conjunction with relevant IT teams, and will ensure that proposed and existing systems and network security architectures are aligned with security policies and standards.
The Sr. IT Security Analyst will collaborate with Information Security Leadership for executing and maintaining enterprise vulnerability assessments, and will be responsible for external and internal vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, wireless assessments, war-dialing, web-based application assessments, etc. This position will also include playing an active role in the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) process and will assist in forensic investigations of security incidents.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 6+ years in Information Security
Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent required
Professional technical certification(s) (CISSP, CISM, CISA, MCSE and/or CCNA) desired
Security-related Technology Skills
Advanced experience with system and network security architecture
Advanced knowledge of directory services (Microsoft Active Directory)
Expert level knowledge of operating systems (Windows XP/2000/2003, and AIX)
Knowledge of networking devices (firewalls, routers, etc)
Knowledge of database platforms (SQL and Oracle)
Advanced experience with web services (IIS and Apache)
Advanced experience with SDLC security consulting
Working knowledge of computer forensic tools
Extensive experience with vulnerability management tools, such as Nessus, Qualys, etc
Working knowledge of security tools, such as web content filtering, log correlation, etc
General Skills
Self-starting personality with a strong drive for results
Ability to multi-task and manage several projects concurrently
Excellent verbal skills * ability to communicate with staff with varying levels of technical ability
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect
