Description:
The Web Developer -- Intermediate will be a key Development Team technical expert analyzing, designing, developing and delivering applications to support .com (B2C), the Knowledge Network company Intranet (B2E) and business-to-business (B2B) portal applications, transactions and data architecture. Key responsibilities include:
Technical design, development and implementation of web development projects.
Ability to understand and articulate managed care business problems and relative I.T. solutions.
Works with all levels of our staff to define portal development projects and be capable of leading the technical development efforts from end-to-end, including from definition through delivery.
Expected to be able to work with minimal guidance on projects and independently resolve issues with customers.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science) and equivalent work experience required. 3+ years Web Development and Programming experience in IT, with web development emphasis specifically. 3+ years experience as a key developer in web technologies and environments. MS Web Development Certifications or willingness to obtain are a plus. Proven leadership skills (people/project management) required. Meaningful experience and demonstrated success with the following disciplines, but not limited to these specific minimum disciplines:
Microsoft Solutions Framework and Architecture
XML, HTML, DHTML, Java, JavaScript
ASP.NET, VB.NET, COM/DCOM/COM+, SQL Server 2000, SharePoint Portal Server 2003
Windows 2003 Server, Windows 2000 Server, Oracle, TIBCO
Thorough understanding demonstrated success and experience with multiple web development tools, programming languages, operating systems, databases and information technology platforms. Experience in a web application development environment working on enterprise customer-facing web applications and transactions for industry recognized leading commercial portals and web sites. Experience in leading the technical component of large, high-visibility web development projects. Needs to have in-depth global technical knowledge, outstanding customer orientation skills and people skills, in order to respond to and effectively communicate with all internal customers
