· Proactively monitor/manage the LAN/WAN environment by daily monitoring of system logs, network utilization, system updates, etc., and take appropriate action to maintain optimum performance and availability.· Provide timely review of network system logs for detection of security breaches. · Provide reporting of utilization for planning and SOX audit responsibilities for security of environment and compliance with corporate policies. · Provide network forecasting and costs to meet business initiatives.· Technical lead on projects for network implementation (LAN, WAN, DMZ or Wireless, etc.). · Interface with Kodak and other external service providers to trouble shoot and resolve problems. · Notification to team members and business users of planned maintenance windows and unplanned outages.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Broad experience with LAN/WAN environment, capacity planning and project management experience is required, including TCP/IP (DNS and DHCP), router skills, VPN technology, switching (QOS, VLAN, MPLS, and spanning tree) and routing protocols (BGP,OSPF, EIGRP), NAT/PAT address translation, HSRP configuration, wireless technology , and F5 load balancers.· Demonstrated diagnostic and problem solving skills using network management tools, such as CiscoWorks and Sniffer.· Experience implementing a secure network design and demilitarized zone (DMZ). · Excellent written and oral communication skills.· Ability to prioritize and multi-task· Ability to work with external service providers to resolve support issues.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 or more years of network/telecom experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. · Prior experience with Cisco, Nokia and F5 hardware preferred. · Relevant Cisco certification highly desired.
