Consortium Health Plans, Columbia, Maryland is seeking a content manager/specialist with experience managing and updating web content.


Title: Content Manager/Specialist

Department: National Account Services

Reports to: Director, MarketQuest

Education Required: College Degree Required

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all communities and pages on MarketQuest (intranet for BCBS):
? Facilitate community redesign including wireframes and management of the process
? Write, review and edit copy for MarketQuest pages
? Assist with the revisions and/or population of content (text) on MarketQuest pages
? Work with team members to facilitate updating of MarketQuest pages as appropriate
? Review content on all MarketQuest pages for errors and outdated information
? Create and maintain MarketQuest report card
? Maintain a log of all documents loaded from Plans, BCBSA and CHP

2. Act as lead on BCBSA content:
? Identify content wanted
? Receive and load content
? Maintain process for receipt of updates

3. Oversee all activities related to the Knowledge Directory (Document Repository):
? Ensure that all documents are current; maintain expiration schedule and acquisition schedule
? Ensure that all documents loaded are formatted correctly, free of grammatical errors, tagged appropriately and loaded to the correct folder
? Ensure that duplicate content is not loaded to the site
? Place copies of documents in the appropriate folders as requested
? Assist team members in tagging and loading documents

4. Work with content vendors/producers to:
? Acquire permissions for posting and publishable documents
? Establish schedule for updates
? Regulate content (review appropriateness of content received, remove unwanted content, adjust data feeds to receive missing content, troubleshoot broken links in content)

5. Identify those documents available for the What's New email push for the MarketQuest team and participate in the weekly prep meetings.

6. Assist external groups with updates and training as it relates to their page on MarketQuest.

7. Recommend guidelines and standards for content development.

8. Interact with CHP team members as it relates to the internal adoption of MarketQuest.

9. Keep up to date with best practice in web usability, web page design and writing for the web to ensure that MarketQuest is aligned with user-centered experience.

10. Adhere to policies, procedures and programs protecting confidential and proprietary Plan data and information.
Qualifications:

• 1-3 years experience in web content management and architecture
• 1-3 years experience in managed care and/or health insurance industry
• Experience in electronic/web publishing or web editing; content management or internet research highly regarded
• Degree in Library and Information Management, Arts/Journalism, Communication Arts or a combination of each. IT qualification an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to write, edit and proof content for the web
• Knowledge of HTML
• Self-motivated to prioritize work on multiple complex assignments with ongoing deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact collaboratively with internal staff and develop relationships with Plan personnel

Salary: Commensurate with experience, to 50K with excellent corporate benefits.

This is a full time permanent position, not freelance.
