DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Management of a payroll department to include staff supervision of approximately a dozen employees, business process, and workflow; (2) Oversight of hourly and salaried employee payroll comprising nearly $1,000,000.00, and filing of all federal and local tax returns and tax distributions for nearly 15,000 employees; (3) Overseeing of regulatory filings for all US retirement and pension plans; (4) Monitoring and reporting of department performance relative to established Service Level Agreements (SLA's); (5) Working closely with the HR Masterfile data group and the IT HR group on continual process improvement projects; (6) Working closely with the tax department on audits and reporting requests; (7) Representing the payroll function in ad hoc working groups organized for acquisitions, SAP system conversions, and other business process issues; (8) Providing expert guidance to the group on SAP functionality, data queries, and data structure; (9) Supporting the implementation and operations of global payroll; (10) Overseeing and driving continual process improvements and SAP Payroll optimization projects.
REQUIRED:
Currently in a supervisory capacity of Payroll with at least 4 years of payroll supervisory experience.
MUST have at least 2 years of CURRENT or RECENT SAP Payroll experience. SAP IS A MUST.
MUST have MULTI-SITE payroll experience ideally with GLOBAL or MULTI-NATIONAL experience.
MUST have 8 years of payroll experience.
MUST be proficient in MICROSOFT software.
STRONGLY prefer someone with CPP certification.
Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written); Strong work ethic; Able to be a change agent; Strong experience in process design and optimization; Good problem solving and organizational skill; Attention to detail; Positive attitude and strong customer focus.
