Web Developer
Summary:
A full-time developer is needed to assist with the design and maintenance of feature-rich business-to-business Sales and Marketing support software for both Microsoft Windows and the Worldwide Web. Project requirements span the entire spectrum of current technology trends, including automated email systems, online reporting, data capture, promotional web site design and CRM. This position would employ and enhance skills such as project implementation, writing code in a variety of programming languages, business process and technical design, database interactivity, and software architecture. Both ad-hoc development and object-oriented development techniques are employed as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
• Independent or team-based projects, designs, codes and tests technical solutions
• Understands technical and functional design requirements
• Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
• Web page design and development including graphics manipulation
• User interface design and development
• Creates, estimates and executes work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Manages resources within budget and project schedule, assisting with the enforcement of development deadlines and schedules
• Communicates and enforces coding standards
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Anticipates client needs before they arise and presents solutions that encompass issues at hand
• Understands expectations that were set with client and recognizes/communicates when issues or events may affect delivery
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3+ years of web development experience in Microsoft environment is required. Must have experience and sound knowledge of Microsoft IIS and website operations and maintenance. The Developer position requires a strong background in application troubleshooting, documentation, and code analysis, as well as a proven ability to develop productive working relationships.
Programming Languages:
• Required: ASP, HTML, JavaScript
• Preferred: CSS, AJAX
• Plus: VB6, VB.NET, Reporting Services
Database:
• Understands advanced relational database concepts and assists with physical and logical database design
• Writes effective stored procedures
• Working knowledge of SQL2000/2005
Architecture:
• Understands client server and internet systems architectures
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of object component methodology and technology
• Identifies appropriate use of COM objects
