Description:
We seek an experienced Windows System Administrator in Toronto who will be responsible for all aspects of Systems Administration, both hardware and software within a 24x7x365 data centre. The Administrator will work independently and as part of a team using his/her skills to solve customers' technical issues in various Windows environments. The Administrator will also be responsible for providing after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation. Overtime will be required from time to time, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience as a Windows Administrator in a production environment/large data centre with 50+ servers
· Must have in-depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
· Experience in Root Cause analysis and Problem Determination processes
· Experience with Disaster Recovery related processes
· Must have working knowledge of Remote Server Management
· Working knowledge on network, systems and application monitoring
· Knowledge of basic Networking and Troubleshooting
· Knowledge of VB scripting is an asset
· Knowledge of any of the following is a definite asset: IIS, SQL, Exchange, Oracle, WebSphere, WebLogic, LDAP, Apache
· Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
· Ability to effectively function as a team player in addition to juggling multiple responsibilities with competing priorities
· Must be proactive, possess project implementation skills
· Must be adept at managing multiple concurrent requests
· MCSE
