Description:
The Consultant will deliver services relating to the Service Desk and custom business process automation with a focus on Process Analysis, technical solution architecture and implementation of Remedy-based solutions and ITIL-based processes. Understands and is capable of integrating disciplines / processes and data across complex enterprises while staying current with the Service Desk and IT Infrastructure Management Industry and best practices. The Consultant will participate, as a technical resource, in the sales process.
The Consultant should be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in an organization, develop procedural documentation, develop and conduct effective presentations, effectively demonstrate products and solutions, conduct training sessions and be able to write written customer proposals.
The ideal candidate can operate effectively in a team environment, coordinate efforts with other team members and lead and support team members. In addition he/she can anticipate, identify and resolve problems, understand client's business requirements, generate solutions and present recommendations, control scope creep, develop project timelines for system management projects ( in conjunction with PM ), meet deadlines and consider Budget during all phases of a project.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must demonstrate an advanced knowledge level* with respect to:
· Remedy Action Request System custom application development
· Remedy ITSM suite application implementation and customization
· At least two operating systems and two databases
· Ability to create technical manuals for customer
· Ability to follow pre-defined Implementation Methodologies
· Ability to assess and document a customer's Service Desk business and technical requirements
· Process and Data modeling
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge level with respect to:
· ITIL Service Management Processes:
· Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management,Configuration (Asset) Management, Service Level Management
· System Integration, API integration
· C, C++, Perl, Unix scripting, Java programming
· Integrate third party systems
· Basic project management skills (timeline development/management, cost estimation, resource estimation)
· Write Crystal Reports for Remedy applications
Education/Certifications:
. Bachelors degree, technical degree or equivalent experience
. Remedy Approved Consultant or Remedy Skilled Professional Certified (or equivalent experience)
. ITIL Foundations Certified, or ITIL Master Certified
. Additional certifications in operating systems, databases and programming languages a plus
. Experience with Project Management practices
Travel: 20-30%
