Responsible for implementing and supporting an end to end monitoring solution that is comprised of both business application and server monitoring.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-The support responsibilities include: on-call support, troubleshooting, incident notification and resolution, problem management/analysis, and root cause identification..
-Interacts with and coordinates the monitoring activities of cross-functional teams, including business, development, system administration, database administration, network engineering and production support staff.
-Helps to develop and document standard procedures and best practices in our technical repository.
-Candidate must be a team player but also have the ability to self-manage time and multiple activities.
-Good communication and inter-personal skills.
Required Skills
-Minimum three years of experience with the installation, configuration, administration of: HP BAC, version 6.9 or higher and HP SiteScope, version 8.9 or higher
-Preference to candidates with HP [or Mercury] certification or documented training.
-Advanced SiteScope configuration for monitoring application servers (such as WebLogic), network bandwidth, log files, JVMs, processes and daemons, etc.
-Understanding of the integration of HP BAC & SiteScope tools.
-Proficient with development of VuGen HTTP scripts for business application monitoring - 3+ years.
-Experience with monitoring dashboards.
-Proficient with the configuration of HP BAC Service Level Availability.
-Windows OS and UNIX/Linux command line experience.
-Experience with Remedy and problem ticket management.
-Understanding of principles of web and systems engineering.
-Knowledge / experience of RUM, QTP and CMDB.
-Developer background with knowledge of C or and C++ programming languages.
-Understands and willing to follow software development lifecycles.
