Extreme Technologies has an immediate need for a hands-on Software Quality Assurance Manager to be responsible for assuring the quality of software, staff management, hiring and development and hands-on implementation of the SQA strategy.

Position description:

This position will work closely with software developers, development managers, product managers, and project managers to enhance and assure software quality, with involvement throughout the development process. The person will be responsible for designing and implementing QA processes, detailed manual and automated test plans / test cases, tracking software defects, verifying software fixes and assessing risk. The successful candidate will also exhibit a high level of self-motivation and independence while working in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· QA personnel management

· Technical Lead for QA Projects

· Develop a QA Roadmap and begin hands on implementation

· Develop and implement a QA automation strategy beyond the existing test automation.

· Create and execute detailed test plans and cases (manual and automated)

· Provide input and feedback to Development, Prod Mgmt and Release throughout Development process.



Requirements:

* BSCS or equivalent

* 5-10 yrs SQA experience in the Linux, Solaris and Windows environments

* 2 yrs. SQA Management experience

*4 yrs experience working with structured SDLC methodologies such as Agile, RUP, RAD, JAD, etc.

* Strong knowledge of Development Process & SQA Methodology
* Experience with both white box and black box testing
* Experience designing and implementing test automation
* Experience testing complex, distributed enterprise systems as well as web applications
* Proven record of building and maintaining top notch QA teams
* Experience with API level and server side testing is a plus

*Experience working with custom software incorporating AutoDesk software.
* Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead QA projects
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
