Systems Analyst
A well-respected, global Cincinnati company is seeking a key systems professional to join the organization's IT/Applications department. This individual will work on projects developing systems to satisfy the company's needs, and may work independently on assigned projects requiring skills in specific technologies such as: The System's Analyst will participate in the planning phase and will be responsible for analysis, design, and constructions phase of the project(s). This organization embraces a clearly defined career path, and has a reputation for attracting and keeping top talent in the industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide support to existing systems and databases.
• Help establish cost requirements and schedule for assigned activities.
• Provide input into evaluation of application design alternatives.
• Assists in evaluating alternative hardware/software that meet business requirements and approved technology platforms.
• Participate in business systems design and technical design of applications from a user perspective.
• Participate in application walk-throughs and develop documentation for production system.
• Work closely with the global source code development group throughout unit and QA testing.
• Participate in user acceptance testing and provide user training.
• Provide maintenance and enhancements to system to support changing business needs.
Requirements/Qualifications:
• 0 - 3 years of experience in systems analysis, design, application development, and business systems support.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Proven experience with the following technologies: SQL Database, AS/400, web/development technologies, EAI, EDI, and business intelligence (OLAP).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Prior experience with global ERP implementations (Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, etc) a plus.
