Java Developer
The Java Developer will be a key member of a small development team and will work on all aspects of the project life-cycle. Our company is a unique niche player that is re-platforming an award-winning application in preparation for tremendous new growth opportunities. The development team is managed through an Agile process that encourages full team participation and a fun, dynamic work environment.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, 3-5 years experience with Java-based technologies as well as strong communication and design skills. Demonstrated experience in the entire application development lifecycle is a plus. The successful candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, experience and abilities:
- Proven experience with JSF and as well as JavaScript/HTML
- Must enjoy working on sophisticated web interfaces
- Experience with the JBoss Seam framework is desirable
- Prior experience in Agile development environment (Scrum) is a plus
- Ability to develop, enhance, maintain and document web-based, data-driven business applications
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and debug/troubleshoot to provide effective solutions
- Proficiency and understanding of Open Source software concepts and practices
- Proficiency with Design Patterns and Object Oriented Concepts
- Experience with at least one application server (preferably JBoss)
- Comfortable using Eclipse IDE and other development tools such as Ant and JUnit
- Practical experience with Java Data Access technologies (Hibernate/JPA)
- Experience in JasperReports, JBoss Rules (drools) or Linux a plus
