Job Description
One of our clients in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Systems Analyst and Developer. This person will design and implement BI solutions as well as provide technical and analytical guidance and support to users. Additionally this individual will research new tools and applications to better funnel information from our systems to key decision makers utilizing end-user reporting platforms. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with database and data warehousing concepts, possess expert capabilities with complex framework manager models, can easily navigate databases, and have relevant application development experience.
Specific Responsibilities
Primary Function:
• Administer company's BI system (Business Objects).
• Develop corporate dashboards and reports using Business Objects and Crystal Reports.
• Work with Business and Sales Analysts to develop automated business tools creating efficiency and better workflow.
• Work with Senior Level Managers to develop strategic direction for all future BI and Management Reporting projects.
Secondary functions (growth path):
• Help establish direction for future MIS activities.
• Identify and coordinate special projects.
• Installation and support of software applications and management of license compliance.
• Participation in managing the company's Internet and intranet sites and ongoing development of company web pages, proxy and firewall projects as they relate to BI or Management Reporting.
• Creation and maintenance of user/system documentation.
Technical Requirements
• Expertise in managing BI systems (Business Objects preferred).
• Expert report developer (Crystal Reports preferred).
• Extensive SQL experience -- developing stored procedures, creating SQL views.
• Two or more year design experience with Crystal Reports or similar report writer.
• Experience with MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS) and Integration Services (SSIS)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar system.

• Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Proven effectiveness and ease in a multi-cultural environment.
• Occasionally provide support during off-hours, on-call and paged support, or work another shift as needed.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree MIS, CS, Finance or Accounting required.
• Must have extensive background in report writing and design with multiple years working with databases and BI tools such as Business Objects, Hyperion, Cognos or Oracle.
• Minimum three (5) years of related experience.
