Active Power designs, manufactures and markets battery-free power appliances in an efficient, reliable and economically green manner.
The key responsibilities for this position will include design and develop embedded firmware for Active Power products.
Duties:
You will work with other Software and Hardware Engineers to develop industrial 3 phase UPS and related power quality products.
Develop firmware for the control of closed loop and state driven systems.
Develop firmware by referencing hardware schematics and datasheets with minimal assistance.
Perform lab testing to verify firmware operation prior to submitting to test group.
Requirements:
BSEE or equivalent
6+ years of current experience with embedded firmware development using C.
Current experience with at least one Real Time Operating System (RTOS).
Current experience writing applications executed in a real-time, multi-threaded environment.
Experience writing low level drivers for hardware peripherals as required.
Experience writing firmware for various communication interfaces, e.g. Ethernet, Modbus.
Additional Beneficial Skills:
Knowledge of RTEMS
Experience with closed loop and state driven control systems.
FPGA logic design using a hardware description language (AHDL preferred)
Circuit design
