We are experiencing a period of extremely rapid growth and therefore are seeking to hire a Web Application Programmer to our IT team.
Web Application Programmer
The talented and motivated Web Programmer we select for our team will care for and maintain a large and disparate group of software and network programs and tools, update and upgrade those tools and the development of new software to run on the various Internet portals operating on our servers.
Under the direction of the Assistant IT Director, you will also analyze and document operation of existing web-based software tools, which come from a variety of legacy sources, respond to and resolve trouble tickets submitted by in-house and worldwide users pertaining to in-use software tools and programs and rewrite, upgrade, recode and extend software tools to bring them up to current software standards, locating and closing any security holes and extending the features of such tools as directed. Assist our networking staff in the operations and health maintenance of our server networks and monitor and manage system services and online software tools, overall state of all online programs on a continuous basis.
Qualifications:
* Fluency in Python is a Requirement
* Experience developing web code in a Unix/Linux-based environment.
* Direct experience developing web-based applications.
* 2+ years experience working with standard high-level languages, such as: Perl -- PHP
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Ability to learn new technologies very quickly.
* Ability to deliver high quality results under time pressure.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
* Django framework experience a plus.
