DUTIES: You will be responsible for: (1) Performing as the resident Subject Matter Expert on all IT security solutions and providing complete infrastructure implementation and support for numerous disparate technologies across the enterprise, with a particular focus on security; (2) Proactively anticipating IT industry trends and direction and making recommendations to management with regards to current and future infrastructure needs and implementations, with a focus on security; (3) Evaluation of future security technology and vendors; (4)Design of complex hardware and software security infrastructure solutions; (5) Troubleshooting through resolution of complex security infrastructure issues and problems; (6) Hands on design and configuration of workstations, servers, bridges, routers, hubs, switches, firewalls, etc.; (7) Design of new security infrastructure architectural models; (8) Infrastructure performance monitoring and tuning; (9) Conducting and preparing feasibility studies; (10) Developing client/end user proposals, and estimating cost, time and resources; (11) Preparing and delivering presentations to executive management and user communities; (12) Performing cost/benefit analysis; (13) Providing expert network security to include firewall, setup and maintenance of router ACLs to protect against host and perimeter intrusion attempts; (14) Penetration testing of hosts and networks with port scanners, virus defense systems, and operating system tools to limit potential intruder threats and maintain corporate security.
REQUIRED:
STRONG/CURRENT IT security skill as a hands-on technical resource and non-STAFF manager.
MUST have expert level Checkpoint, and CISCO security experience, with at least 5 years of expert level depth in security in a complex enterprise environment.
Five years of STRONG/CURRENT ENTEPRISE level IT environment performing infrastructure evaluation, planning, design, configuration, engineering, implementation, and support in a disparate technology environment with HEAVY MICROSOFT hands on technical experience.
One year of good project management experience with good project planning experience. STRONG experience with making project decisions, monitoring project progress, and reporting project results is critical.
Requires expert knowledge of LAN, WAN, VPN, Microsoft networks, Active Directory, Frame Relay, network topologies, and performing levels 1-2-3 server support in a 100 server or larger environment.
MUST have deep security experience to include firewalls, routers, maintenance of router ACL's and penetration testing of hosts and networks.
Must have CURRENT/STRONG experience in creating and defining new infrastructure architectural models.
Must have proven ability to quickly solve infrastructure issues and to manage the associated performance and capacity.
MUST have exceptionally strong customer service skills and be passionate about IT.
MUST be able to demonstrate excellent judgment, analytical skills with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
