Objective:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS...

Sales Results -- Responsible for:
Achieving net bookings goal in established sales territory/accounts maintain discounts at a maximum of 12%. This responsibility includes meeting the necessary sales controls needed to successfully meet the performance standards.

Maintaining a minimum of 25 contacts per day.

Contacting a minimum of 80% of all leads from tradeshows and/or direct mailings.

Selling product to forecast and managing a Key Product Movement balance within 15% of the corporate objective to ensure maximum profitability for Sencore.

Managing outstanding evaluations by maintaining not more than 6% past 60 days for short term, and not more than 8% past 60 days for long term. Ensure that the evaluation program is profitable by maintaining a minimum of a 25% close factor on evaluations shipped.

Note: The above controls and percentages may vary based on Corporate Objectives.

Territory Management. Responsible for:
Territory management by maintaining the current Account database, increasing and developing current and future accounts that have the potential to purchase Sencore instruments by adding new prospects/referrals each quarter.


Managing the accounts/territory TICKLER system by following up on a minimum of 90% of all customers/prospects tickled, and calling 100% tickles within 7 working days of all EVALS.

Effectively planning and submitting yearly goals. Shall learn to effectively quarterly plan and reduce it to daily and weekly planning to make the best use of your time management.

Technical Knowledge -- Responsible for:
Handling a majority of technical/application questions before and after the sale, finding the answers to any technical/ application questions you are not sure of. This includes learning it for future reference as it is necessary to maintain maximum customer satisfaction and rapport with the customer.

Obtaining and maintaining a high degree of application/ specification knowledge on Sencore and competitive products.

Staying up-to-date technically by reading industry journals, self-study courses, technical training sessions presented by Sencore and/or any other technical update programs.

Sales Skills -- Responsible for:
Keeping sales skills fine tuned by attending and participating in sales training sessions or sales meetings and any other sales training and motivational exercises and seminars which occur through the course of each quarter.

Knowing all salient sales points (SSPs) of all Sencore products and accessories and be able to explain why these are the salient points and what they mean.

National Account Activity -- Responsible for:
Developing and coordinating National Account plans and activities that will effectively increase market penetration within the DIGITAL VIDEO market.

Travel -- Responsible for:
Will be required to travel to customer accounts and potential customer accounts for product demonstration.

Trade Shows -- Responsible for:
Shall attend trade shows as requested. Will act as liaison to factory and support all technical questions and product demonstrations. In addition will follow up on 100% of all trade show leads within 7 days after the show is complete.

Customer Satisfaction -- Responsible for:
Contacting 25% of all customers in the Account database each quarter making sure that all Sencore customers are satisfied with the Sencore product or service that they receive and handling each customer in a professional, courteous manner.

Contacting each customer within two weeks maximum of each purchase to ensure customer satisfaction with the product and service.

Attitude:
Responsible for maintaining a positive mental attitude toward your job and teammates while representing the sales department in a professional, enthusiastic manner at all times.

Special Projects:
Responsible for satisfactorily handling any special projects or reports which the Sales Managers, Director of Sales and Merchandising or the President assign, which you accept responsibility for and are subsequently accountable.

Computer/Phone System:
Responsible for knowing how the computer and phone system operates by procedures.

Preferred Qualifications: To accomplish the responsibilities of this job,
person must have a minimum of a four year Engineering/Electronics degree and/or
equivalent experience. This person should also possess the physical prowess to lift up to 70 lbs. And be
available to travel 30-40% of the time. Some trips will require more than 7 consecutive days. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills coupled with a high degree of diplomacy and professionalism are
required due to the extensive interface with co-workers and customers.
Above average computer skills are necessary to perform the administrative
function of the job.
