Our client is seeking a Product QA/ Implementation Engineer for a 3 -- 6 month contract with possibility for extension. This role will be responsible for assisting the Product Engineering Team in the implementation of special customer facing projects, requiring specialized expertise and developed knowledge of several back-end systems. This position will have the additional responsibility for working with peers in IT Operations, Support, and Business Development as well as other areas of the business to ensure the quality of policies, procedures, products, and documentation as it relates to the Product Engineering group.

Position will include, but is not limited to, the following roles:

Troubleshooting and resolution of provisioning errors.
Service in 2nd Tier support to DCOPs and the Support organization.
Test plan creation.
Testing of Hardware and Software.
Internal systems level testing.
Training on new products and services.
Coordination and assistance in special customer specific implementations, or that do not confirm to our automation, commonly referred to as "one-off's".
Execution of project tasks, such as data entry, involving manipulation and collection of data.
Communicating with clients, using various established methods, to resolve project tasks.
Strong ability to develop, execute, and document QA testing plans and procedures to ensure the quality of work being developed by the Product Engineering Team.
Experience with installing, troubleshooting, and administering both Linux and Windows Based Systems.
Bachelor's or degree in Computer Science or related field experience; experience and/or appropriate Certifications may be substituted for degree.

Additional Requirements

Must be extremely tech-savvy, yet understand and embrace the goals of the business as it pertains to the customer and Product Engineering Team.
Strong knowledge of Internet related systems operations and TCP/IP networking concepts, including troubleshooting and resolving common system related issues.
Knowledge and experience with Web-based interfaces (HTML/XML, Javascript, HTTP), and some back-end technologies (CGI, FastCGI, etc).
Knowledge and experience with Bash, Perl, and/or .NET scripting is a plus.
Candidate must have general knowledge with standard Linux and Windows based daemons and services: (Apache, ssh, cron, bind, IIS).
Ability to use standard network diagnostic tools, like tcpdump, wireshark, iptraf, mrtg, etc., is preferred.
Knowledge and experience with server hardware technology including troubleshooting and hardware maintenance.
General knowledge of multiple programming languages, with proficiency in at least one high level scripting language (Perl, Ruby, PHP, ColdFusion, .NET)
Proficiency in either Windows or Linux Operating System(s) with strong System Administration skills.
General knowledge of automated image deployment systems, such as Kickstart, Windows ADS, RIS, or other network based imaging systems.
