Responsibilities:
The Consultant will be responsible for providing support by performing the following tasks:
• Assist the Project Manager and Project Leader to understand business needs and develop high level project concepts and scope
• Assist the Project Manager and Project Leader to facilitate workshops with the business and systems teams to identify and complete business analysis and requirements
• Responsible for the analysis and documentation of alternative solutions and preparing recommendations
• Develop various logical and physical models (prototype) as required to present IT solutions
• Responsible for documenting detailed business requirements and business design documents, and conducting formal walkthroughs with other project team members
• Responsible for documenting negative use / penetration use cases, and conducting formal walkthroughs with other project team members
• Review detailed coding specifications prepared by Developers to ensure they follow the business design
• Develop the system test strategy and test cases, and plan/lead/conduct the system integration test phase
• Oversee and monitor progress of the user acceptance testing phase, assisting as required
• Assist the Project Leader in developing the implementation plans
• Provide post implementation support as required
• Assist in mentoring other project staff.
The Consultant will be required to:
• Complete work as assigned
• Provide progress/status information to Client Management
• Comply with Client security procedures and practices
• Comply with Client Conflict of Interest, and Confidentiality Guidelines
• Provide skills / knowledge transfer to appropriate Client staff.
The following skills and experience are Mandatory:
• Facilitation skills to conduct workshops for requirements gathering
• Translate business requirements into systems design
• Prepare business and systems documentation, including Use cases.
• Business/Enterprise Architecture theory and practice
• Knowledge of mainframe/WEB/Client Server systems
• Systems Analysis and Design
• Coaching/mentoring skills
• Data and process modeling
Highly Desirable Requirements:
Knowledge and experience in the following are highly desirable and are being sought in the
Consultant:
• Experience using data/business modeling tools (RUP)
• Good knowledge of OPS I&IT standards
• Knowledge of Internet applications
• Knowledge of financial applications
• Exposure to Enterprise Architecture in the OPS.
