Emergent Game Technologies is seeking an experienced content tools engineer. You will design, develop, test, document, and maintain tool chain applications that are used to create graphical and non-graphical data for use in Gamebryo applications. You will work closely with other engineers in a small team to accomplish product development objectives. Will develop and maintain automated test suites and test assets that validate proper toolchain function.

Job Requirements:

• 5-7+ years of professional C++ development experience
• Development experience with C# and the .Net environment is a big plus
• Demonstrated deep knowledge in at least one of our areas of focus: 3D graphics, game engine architecture, and/or console platforms
• Familiarity with game development process
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• BSCS or equivalent


Valued Skills:

• Multithreaded and/or distributed programming experience
• Experience developing applications that run inside of a DCC application (Max, Maya, or XSI) is a strongly desired skill, as a large portion of the Gamebryo tool chain runs inside of these applications
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Prior experience working at a game development studio or publisher
• Been through multiple product lifecycles on modern platforms
• Development on or heavy previous use of graphics middleware packages
• Experience with technical support or other customer-facing exposure
