Premier game developer and publishing studio is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer who has shipped multiple commercial games to design and implement AI systems for a large-budget next-generation military shooter. If you'd like to play a key role in the development of a fully funded AAA game that we're building with close help from combat-experienced US Marines, we'd like to speak with you right away.
Job Requirements:
• Excellent knowledge of C++
• 3+ years of experience as an AI Programmer on video game projects
• One or more shipped titles
• Previous experience working with multiplayer titles involving networked AI
• Sincere interest in developing process around AI systems including the use of editors and other tools
• Ability to lead others in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for making games
• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent game experience
• Legal U.S. work authorization required
Job Responsibilities:
• Direct the development of flexible AI system code, AI behaviors, and in-game tools for editing and debugging AI logic
• Participate in the implementation of core AI systems and features
• Work closely with design team to understand AI requirements for game titles
• Breakdown requirements into clearly defined tasks for junior team members
• Help junior engineers with task estimation
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and ideas in AI technology
• Mentor junior level software engineers
Helpful:
• Console development experience, preferably XBox 360 or PS3
• Experience working with LUA or other scripting languages
• Team leadership experience
