The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), a global leader in Christian programming and humanitarian relief, is seeking a Database Analyst to provide quality data programming solutions in the analysis, development, and implementation of multi-channel information delivery systems related to marketing/fundraising campaigns.
This motivated professional will demonstrate the following: data mining and analysis, strong programming and reporting skills in support of organizational goals; develop and execute SQL language to implement logic related to CRM strategies; and develop advanced account management, segmentation and marketing campaigns tracking solutions that can deliver measureable results.
Essential Requirements for Successful Performance:
Education:
A minimum of a four-year college degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems; Master's preferred
Experience and Knowledge:
• Experience using sophisticated database management and data mining tools
• Strong experience in reporting and programming, including proficiency in use of SQL querying, SAS macro programming, MS Access, Excel or other programming skills used to manipulate complex data sets
• Extensive knowledge of various report creation software, including MS SQL Server with Business Intelligence Development Studio or SAS Tabulate/Enterprise Guide
• Knowledge of data mining and predictive models implementation
• Knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills that allow clear and concise presentation of conclusions and recommendations
• Ability to verbally communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand manner
• Must be willing to work as a member of a team where collaboration with others is critical for success
• Familiar with relational database concepts and complex business application architectures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite including Word, Excel, and Project
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
