About the position:
While this is a paid internship position at the start, there is a strong likelihood it will quickly become a full-time salary position. We work in a comfortable and creative office atmosphere in downtown Chicago (State St. & Grand Ave.) with all-new equipment, which is close to public transportation, food, and entertainment.
Responsibilities:
- Developing multi-player online games using ActionScript 3.0 and Java
- Designing concepts for games and organizing workflow with development team
- Researching new technologies that push the envelope for 2D/3D online gaming
- Integrating art assets and optimizing performance
- Challenging team members to set high standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Must have a strong interest in games and game programming
- Must be comfortable working in close collaboration with others
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of ActionScript, Java, Python, and PHP are a plus
- Experience with web programming a plus
- Experience with networked game programming a plus
- Experience with 3D graphics a plus
- Strong artistic sensibilities a plus
