Software Engineer, imeem Media Platform

Software Engineer -- imeem Media Platform
imeem, inc. is looking for a Software Engineer to join our world-class team of technology and engineering professionals. In this position, you will support the development of the imeem Media Platform (http://www.imeem.com/developers). The imeem Media Platform is a set of APIs that allow third party developers to build media-centric applications. The imeem platform differentiates itself by providing developers full access to imeem's comprehensive music, video, and photo library. imeem implements the OpenSocial standard for allowing third party applications to be embedded on imeem. In addition, the imeem Media Platform allows developers to enhance their existing websites with music, videos, and photos from imeem.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the development of imeem's OpenSocial container
* Implement new and enhance existing imeem REST web services for accessing media and social graph data
* Support third party developers in building compelling media applications leveraging the imeem APIs
* Implement metrics tracking to analyze the usage, growth, and success of the imeem Media Platform
* Develop client libraries in popular web languages to ease developer's use of the imeem platform
* Build showcase applications on the platform to demonstrate all of its capabilities
Successful candidates should have the following qualifications/requirements:
* Academic or project-level experience developing database-backed web applications
* Work or project-level experience with C# or Java required
* Work experience with JavaScript a strong plus
* Desire to quickly learn new languages and technologies and apply them to diverse technical problems
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
* Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent knowledge from work experience
