There are eight architecture specialties within the Technology Architecture.
With an eye on the future, Accenture's Mobility Architecture group delivers extensive experience in implementing innovative, mobile technology-based business applications such as online trading and wealth management, mobile supply chain management, telematics, field force enablement and customer relationship management.
Job Description
Mobile Solutions Consulting professionals focus on the technology foundation required to enable enterprise/agency-wide applications such as e-mail, voice mail, messaging, security, and database software (for functionally specific applications). These individuals have skills in hardware, common carrier bandwidth, onsite communications equipment, storage, and related software.
Responsibilities
• Participating in performing portions of technology diagnosis and assessment activities (i.e., creating surveys, conducting interviews, collecting and comparing benchmark data)
• Working with common, relevant architecture frameworks and being able to use them in diagnosing and assessing architectures
• Performing portions of technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
• Participating in performing portions of technology build, test and deployment activities
• Assisting in refining and enhancing architecture and framework
• Participating in troubleshooting and debugging technology integration problems
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 5 years of development, design and architecture experience with wireless/mobile application technologies using Compact Flash.NET or J2ME
• 5 years of hands-on application, implementation and architecture experience with at least one of the following Mobile technologies in an enterprise setting: Windows Mobile, Dexterra, BlackBerry (BES or MDS), OracleMobile, Intellisync, Vettro, Antenna or related products
• Minimum of 1 year as a Manager for design, build, implementation of enterprise wireless or mobile solutions
• Bachelors degree (or above) required
Additional Preferred Skill Requirements:
• Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis
• Developing a high level design which supports a robust technology solution, taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc.
• Driving technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
• Reviewing and supervising design components
• Driving and supervising technology build, test and deployment activities
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in client facing roles a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 100%
