eHarmony has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to help bridge the gap between all business units and data analytics. If hired, you will be instrumental in the evaluation and enhancement of eHarmony's offerings. Basic day to day responsibilities will include: Business Analysis, Documentation, Requirements Gathering, Project Management and Metrics Tracking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Support the team through other tasks such as conducting meetings, collecting data, and preparing research materials, summaries and reports for the team utilizing WebTrends and SQL.
* Conduct requirements gathering and create project documentation (Requirements, Use Cases, Process Workflows) for new products and product enhancements.
* Work closely with the business and IT functional groups to communicate and clarify business needs and contribute to development of long-range plans.
* Liaise with technical counterparts (engineering, QA, infrastructure) to ensure correct technical and functional flow/design.
* Provide functional guidance to engineers to resolve issues.
* Assist with management of projects (maintain issues lists, track progress, adhere to change control, status reporting).
* Develop business case scenarios and models. These business case scenarios and models will be used to quantify the financial opportunity, as well as evaluate the business, technical, and systems feasibility, of recommended improvement.
* Analyze business problems using root cause analysis, hypothesis generation, survey design, benchmarking, and other qualitative and quantitative methods.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Business or Economics is required.
* Solid WebTrends knowledge is a must
* 5 years experience as a Business Analyst in a critical thinking environment.
* Must possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Visio) and expertise with SQL.
Data manipulation utilizing Excel.
* Superior documentation expertise including experience creating Project Scope, Business Requirements, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, Workflows, and Use Cases.
* Statistical analysis, planning and forecasting experience are highly desirable.
* Excellent analytical, facilitation, interpersonal skills, professional and customer-service oriented demeanor.
* Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and the ability to collaborate with business unit customers, IT and management.
* Project management experience - familiarity with full software development life cycle.
* Strong ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Some technical knowledge of internet services and environments.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and to quickly learn the business in unfamiliar areas.
