Develops software programs by analyzing requirements, preparing specifications, designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting.
Identifies software requirements .
( Bachelor's Degree) in related discipline.
Five years on-the-job experience in software systems engineering.
Demonstrated ability to identify, design and plan for hardware/software needs of a Unix/Linux/Windows environment with an appropriate patch management schedule.
An energetic individual with a strong understanding of Sun Solaris operating systems is required (Solaris 10, Global/Logical Domains and Jumpstart) along with Red Hat Linux to support the primary role as a Unix Administrator. Demonstrated knowledge of Veritas Foundation Suite, UFS/ZFS under Solaris 10, SUN storage arrays, including associated management software, and a working knowledge of Veritas NetBackUp is essential.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, are required. Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite to create and present project status to all levels of the organization, including the executive level.
In addition a candidate with experience in Windows Server, VMware (ESX) and Citrix environments will be given extra consideration.
