we're inventing a new generation of innovative social-media applications.
We have an opening for an exceptional UNIX Internet programmer, to design, construct and optimize specialized crawlers, algorithms, and data stores for a pioneering "big data" consumer application.
Qualifications
* Exceptional C++/Perl/Python UNIX programmer.
* Self-motivated builder, to create products used by millions of users.
* Strong CS background, in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Experience building web clients and spiders and web scrapers.
* Master of web technologies (HTTP/TCP/HTML/XML).
* Master of regexes, perl/python, and state-of-the-art UNIX tools/tricks.
* Skills with open-source MySQL or PostgreSQL databases a huge plus.
* Search and information retrieval algorithms experience a plus
* Systems performance analysis and optimization talents a plus.
