Riccione Resources, The Recruitment Firm with 20+ years of experience representing great companies announces a new Product Manager opportunity with a firm specializing in embedded systems for high resolution video cameras and embedded video recording products. Applications for: schools, mass transportation, fleet management, industrial sites, retail, airports etc.
Small company that has a successful track record. This company has an ample supply of projects coupled with a solid financial foundation. As a result of this firm's revolutionary product, more projects have necessitated the immediate hiring of a Product Manager with a Technical Project Management background.
What will you be doing?
You will be interacting directly with customers to identify their needs that will be integrated into existing products, as well as, developing new products. Your expertise will be needed as you work with both engineering and marketing team. In this role, you will be involved in leading the strategy, planning, and execution for the technologies supporting the company's OEM partners, integrators, and the market as a whole.
In this role, you will need strong technical project management skills as you work on products from design to production. And you will need to communicate effectively the trade-offs involved in scope creep. You must have a strong attention to detail on cost estimation, tracking commitments, assignments, and product scope.
As a Product Manager, you will need to feel comfortable and confident when you face the customer. You will use your strong communication skills as you call on and speak directly with integrators and OEM partners. Also, you will be talking use cases with engineers, feature sets with key business partners and projections with management. As an effective communicator, you will be making presentations to both customers and marketing staff.
Other responsibilities include the following:
- - Lead commercialization efforts across engineering, marketing, and production.
- Identify specific market needs including new products, applications for existing products, product enhancements, and gap analysis.
- Marketing production equipment.
- Evaluate the merit of design proposals.
- Effectively lead virtual teams.
What kind of candidate are we looking for?
- - Bachelor's degree is required.
- Successful experience as a Product Manager and Project Manager.
- PMP or equivalent.
- Technical experience in software/hardware development.
- Must have a strong ability to define a service workflow and manage a project that delivers a service and training.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Detail-oriented and the strong ability to see the big picture.
- Strong presentation skills are a must.
- Must be able to travel 15 % primarily domestic.
Preferred:
- - Background in video production or commercial video production.
- Understanding of geospatial information systems.
