Background:
The NBC SSOMB Branch requires SAN technician to design, develop, and/or implement new customer requirements within the NBC hosting infrastructure. The skills and abilities of the contractor are outlined below. The projects are scheduled to last approximately 1-2 years. The position is located in Denver, CO.
Skills Required:
1. Extensive fabric design and implementation experience with Brocade, McData or Cisco Switches.
2. Proficient with SAN management and monitoring software.
3. Experience with long distance data replication of multiple terabytes, IPStor preferred.
4. Extensive experience with managing SAN Storage on at least one of the following: EMC, Hitachi, IBM DS Storage, HP, Sun STK, Network Appliance, Falconstor.
5. Experience with multipathing on QLogic or Emulex HBA's.
6. Ability to work with Oracle, SAP, Windows, UNIX and IBM Mainframe administrators on meeting storage requirements including capacity planning, systems failover, multipathing, RAID, disaster recovery, replication, and storage virtualization/thin provisioning.
7. Excellent diagram and documentation skills
