Our client, an information-based communications firm, providing services such as data collection and data management is currently looking for a unique candidate who not only thinks outside of the box but is able to create and foster a positive and accountable work environment. As the new Application Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of developers as well as a network administrator while assisting in strategic planning and succession planning to support management decisions. With your proven track record in project management and meeting/exceeding expectations and deadlines, you are read to take on this role and grow with a high caliber organization. In order become the winning candidate and be able to contribute to this growing organization, you must have a Post-Secondary education in Information Technology or a related field along with a minimum of 5 -- 7 years experience managing, mentoring and leading a diverse team as well as be well versed in Data Modeling, SQL DBA tasks such as backup/restore, management of memory, allocation of data/log files and optimization of server for maximum performance. The ideal candidate has experience with T-SQL coding, optimization of code, DTS/SSIS Packages along with exposure to SQL server analysis and SQL server reporting. Furthermore, extensive experience with .NET platform, object oriented design for web applications and some knowledge of C#, ASPX and XSLT would be needed for this role. Experience co-relating business requirements to existing database structures and the ability to reverse engineer from code/database design to business requirements is also required
