Based in “sunny” San Francisco, we are building a tightly-knit team that will set new standards for agility. This is a great opportunity for front-end engineers with talent and experience who yearn for a small, fast-paced environment where they can make a real difference.
WHY THIS IS A COOL JOB
This is not the type of job where you bat PRDs around all day in the name of development! You will not be hiding in a back room, fiddling with a red stapler. You will be in an open seating environment next to store managers and business owners, honing an iterative approach to feature-development in response to live data. You will be involved from the first conception of new features through each iteration, so expect to get your fingers dirty.
We're no fly-by-nighter; you'll get the full benefits shebang, including health, vision, dental, LTD coverage- all paid-in-full, a 401K plan, and 3 weeks of paid leave. Certain things about a dotcom don't change: you can look forward to snacks of dubious provenance, wickedly strong coffee, and random pizza parties. We like to have fun.
WHY YOU ARE A COOL CANDIDATE
You might have E-commerce experience, or live and breathe AJAX and browser compatibility. Your intelligence, drive, and energy will help you play with the best. Bonus points if:
• You want to make life better for both online customers and the poor souls who manage content.
• Agile is not just a way to avoid documentation, but a way to get more things done.
• You take pride that your sites render properly in Safari with a full AJAX experience.
• You love the Internet! Include your five favorite Web sites in your cover letter. You will not be disqualified if you list Mugglenet.com as one of your favorites... but it will be a tough hurdle to overcome.
REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of consumer oriented front-end development
• Experienced in designing and implementing for usability and ergonomics
• Strong AJAX design and implementation skills
Skills: XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, PHP
